Ibn Omar said; “ The prophet (sm) enjoined the payment
of one sa’a of dates or one sa’a of barely as
Zakat al Fitr on every muslim young and old, male and female,
free and slave. (Bukhari and Muslim)
Ibn Abbas said ; The messenger of Allah (sm) enjoined Zakat-ul-Fitr
on the one who fast to shield him from any indecent act or speech
and for the purpose of providing food for the needy (Abu Dawd,
Ibn Majah)
Islamic Aid Bangladesh collects
zakat-ul-fitr and distributes it among the needy people in
the form of food and clothes to bring Eid enjoyment among
the poor muslims.
